Sun Peaks Freestyle Club (SPFC) is dedicated to promoting freestyle skiing and snowboarding for kids ages 8 and up in the Kamloops and Sun Peaks areas. Our athletes train intensively throughout the winter at Sun Peaks, and get a chance to show off their hard work by competing in regional, provincial, and national level competitions.
SPFC PROMISE: To provide a welcoming space for all children excited about freestyle skiing and snowboarding. To encourage all athletes to step out of their comfort zone and harness their courage to achieve their goals. To develop athletes that are ambassadors of their sport and of Sun Peaks.
The excitement around freestyle skiing and snowboarding continues to grow. In 2016, SPFC started with 1 coach, 6 skiers and a passionate group of parents. During 2023/24 season Sun Peaks Freestyle Club has grown to 139 athletes (both skiers and snowboarders) competing regionally, provincially and nationally, and a coaching team of 18.
As we enter the 2024/25 season, our fundraising focus is on keeping registration fees affordable and and reducing barriers to invite and welcome ALL athletes excited about freestyle skiing and snowboarding to join us in keeping the stoke high!
